I use FRAPS:
- simple to use
- splits long recordings into handy smaller files for easier editing
- very good quality, better than most others I've seen, but does result in large raw file sizes
- small effect on FPS (for me 1-2 frames out of 30)
- records audio, game + mic if required
I've used OBS too when I've needed to record across multiple Windows, as it captures what's on screen, whereas FRAPS captures a specific running process.
All
recording software will take up CPU time and therefore knock frames somewhat. If your system struggles to run ArmA in the first place it will be more noticeable. I expect hard drive speed has an impact on system performance too while
recording.
