APex

Dont know if this has already been mentioned but Steam has a sale on Arma products at the moment - Obviously, doesn't apply for this forum otherwise you wouldn't be able to play this game, but it has the new DLC ARMA Apex with 20% off, at £19.99 instead of £25

It's been on "sale" since it was first listed, but some people may not have seen :)

I'm no expert so don't take my word as gospel but just check those keys are safe to use. We bought some "cheap" keys for the 3CB unit as server exe's when you had to pay seperately and they were barred eventually by Steam/BIS.

Just be cautious :-)

It's  £19.99 on steam. For an extra £2 I'd rather have a legitimate key that wasn't paid for with stolen credit cards or hacking.

I understand that a lot of the keys come from free giveaways with the likes of GPU and motherboard sales. Other get picked up as a gift during flash sales and put on sale for a small profit after the sale ends.

Explain where the Apex keys come from at lower than cost. People buying them and selling at a loss out of the goodness of their heart?

I use sites like G2A myself. I specifically commented on Apex.
I bought Witcher 3 from there which I had to redeem through nVidia which in turn was added to my GoG library.

There is the big issue of Caveat Emptor and I can't think of a legitimate work around for obtaining Apex cheaper so would be dubious about buying it. BI has form for banning non legitimate keys or keys bought with stolen credit cards. Hence it it worth paying the extra 2 quid in this particular situation.

I very rarely pay full whack on steam. I think they are far too expensive for a lot of things but to be honest they do a grand job with the platform. EA/Origin can 0121....

Steam does not set the prices in theit store. What they do is that they recommend a price to the publisher/developer. Games are cheaper in some regions because they have a different economy and the currency is worth more/less. Keys from Russia are also very often not "stolen". Russia still has a retail market for video games and games are very cheap there compared to other countries. Companies like G2A can legally buy retail versions and sell the key while still making profit.

There is no war to end all wars.

A little comment on G2A.  I've always been a little skeptical of the reliability of some of the keys from these alternative sources.  However I still use them, as sometimes its hard to justify the price difference.  Last Christmas I purchased a game from G2A for my son, and the key failed on Christmas day.  I sent off a report, fully expecting it to be days before I got a solution, but they remedied it before the end of Christmas day.  I was very impressed.  Provided they maintain this level of customer service, then I'm far more inclined to use them and accept that occasionally there may be an issue, that can be quickly resolved.

Depends on how many games you buy.  Just sub to G2A shield for a month, and buy a stack of games, that way you only get hit once
