New Apex Controls - in a nutshell

By now you should have had a prompt asking if you want to use the new Apex control preset or been forced onto them.

Basically, Apex wants to remove as much as possible from the scroll wheel. This is a positive step forward in my opinion.

Weapon Changing, Moved to 1,2,3 [Previously Scroll]

1- Primary
2- Pistol/Secondary
3- Launcher

Combat Pace- 2xC (double tap) [previously C]

Walk (toggle)- CTRL+C [Previously W+S]

The rest seem to be the same but if you find anything else feel free to lob it up here.





GRENADES

You'll need to set your grenade key to 2xG (double tap) to prevent accidental frags.

If you've previously done it, it'll probably need re-doing. If you haven't done so far then you probably should.

VOIP/VON ingame comms.

Disable the in game comms key (default- caps lock)
Just unbind it or bind it to something else.

Running (Shift+W) while sending a radio message causes it to be sent over TFAR and VON and is rather annoying.

Usually main menu > configure > controls > addons controls (button), ctab...
Try Shift H.

I have it on Shift+H as well, no conflict with the other bindings.

That's because I use H for the ACE medical menu.

Yup shift H to open full view, ctrl H for side view then ctrl alt H to switch sides.

I've just unbound the F keys as I pretty much never command AI. Frees them up for a few ace functions and c-tab

You still need them to colour fireteams when SL

It's not really a requirement to colour your fire teams to be fair. But it's another option for people anyway
