Joining Different Departments

Hey guys

Just a question regarding joining different departments with in the 3CB community. Firstly how does one go about joining said departments either mod development or something like media?

I thought this would be a good question as there doesn't seem to be a thread advertising the fact there're positions available or any indication who to speak to.

There is always that chance that I could be just not seeing the thread in the forum, but asking might get those people interested and pointed in the right direction and possibly contributing to the overall community.

Regards

Well I would say go to the staff tab at the top and click on the one which you are interested in.  But they are kinda out of date... BTW Lifetap is in charge of modding but Erik, Apollo, SJ, or myself can help if you want some guidance.

Thanks for that Andy I was just wondered if there should be some kind of thread just in case people don't know who to talk.

Furthermore, would it not be a good idea for us to have a recruitment side to development much like recruitment for members? I say this because as the old saying goes "many hands make light work" and everyone would benefit from a larger team.

That's a good place to start, provided it is kept up to date.

Think that list is quite out of date, particularly with RM

There's a few subforums that you don't get to see by default, but you do if you're added to the group. For example, there's a mission makers area that you see if you join the mission design team.

If there's an area you want to contribute to, find a member who is involved in it and talk to them about it.

  • Modding (lifetap, evrik, arka, apollo, sj, andy)
  • Mission making (dangerousdiz, myself, clyde, scofer)
  • Public engagement, social media (robbie, mefirst)
  • Training (dogbager, arf)
  • Recruit management (potominkus, shogun)
  • Joint-op liason (nulljeager, mefirst)

Apologies if I've left anything out or if I've missed credit to people.

Updated List.

  • Modding (lifetap, evrik, arka, apollo, sj, andy, nemiuk, robbie, nick seafort)
  • Mission making (dangerousdiz, dom.stb, clyde, scofer)
  • Public engagement, social media (robbie, mefirst, lessthandave)
  • Training (dogbager, shogun, jamster)
  • Recruit management (nemiuk, robbie)
  • Joint-op liason (jamster, mefirst, dogbadger, lessthandave)

Maybe we should ask Goodson very nicely to update the staff page before he buggers off again :-D

EDIT: Scratch that, it's pretty much accurate. Maybe worth adding the mod team though
