Payday 2 stealth

Have to say I wasn't a big fan of payday 1. Just felt like a mix of L4D and CS with really stupid AI. I remember sat up high by he door and shot all the cops as they mindlessly run through the door.

Is payday 2 any good and has it been improved much? I've heard people really have to work together to win the match.
