I like how grass is not dissapearing in distance. Fells like arma combined with counterstrike/co/bf to me, but i like it.

The main issue with the performance that right now the entire engine (unreal 4) is having some issues with amd hardware.

Nah, the performance issues are there pretty much regardless of the actual "power" of the hardware. As I said, the game and especially the engine has problems with amd hardware.

Alright. Still I think it is mainly a issue of the engine and not of the game itself. Squad is one of the first games that is using the UE4 Engine right now.

I think I read somewhere there is a workaround for the VRAM issue somewhere on their forums.

Other than actually connecting to games I haven't had many issues. The game runs quite nicely on epic for me once in in. But I've nit played for more than a couple of hours at a time.

Loving the game so far. Only played a few rounds but I can already tell this is going to be one of those games you'll be playing for years to come (just like Project Reality for BF2).

As Benzy mentioned, they've done a brilliant job with the sound. Very immersive. What stood out to me was how accurately I could pinpoint enemies just by the sound of their gunfire or HEs landing near them.

Even though it's an Alpha (whatever that means nowadays), I'm overall really impressed with the game.

If you like Project Reality 2 or you would like to have something between games like Battlefield and ArmA 3 I would say yes.

This is how playing medic looks when Jaimie is around. :)

ATM I would say no, purely because of how bad the game management is. I spend more time with loading screens than actually in a game due to crashes etc. But at the same time it's alpha so it's to be expected.

When everything works it has the potential to be awesome, but it's not 30 quids worth yet IMO.

Vehicles will probably not be released at the end of january as it was planned. They did some testing on full servers and the vehicles have some problems with rubberbanding due to desync. To fix those issues a lot of the code has to be re-written and since no other game with the Unreal 4 Engine has done vehicles they are sailing unknown waters there.
