A german gaming magazine which I dont exactly like, made pretty much the best description of my problem with Elite Dangerous.

Elite Dangerous is like a gigantic ocean, but it is only one centimeter deep and horizons added another centemeter to it. Beside that they f**k all the original backers pretty hard.

I gave Star Citizen a go today, it's Free to play this week. I think it has awesome potential, I really enjoyed it.
I think I'm going to invest; you can get the single player campaign (Squadron 42) and the full multi-player for £30 at the moment, but that's only until 14th Feb when they'll separate them in to different modules.

3CB squadron anyone? haha

Edit: It's still Alpha, so the multi-player universe is still limited, but the amount of stuff they have planned sounds amazing!

I signed up way back when it was first kickstarting (being part of a Freelancer community, we were big on it), but I gotta admit that my enthusiasm has taken an enormous nosedive. I really hope it turns out well, but I don't expect it to any more :/

there in an old joke .....

... 3 woman are sitting together and talking about how good thier man are in the bedroom.
The first my man is a baker he has strong big hands and can knead me very well i become like dought in his hands. It's amazing and I love him,
The 2nd woman, my man is a gynacologist he knows my 'down there' parts like no other he knows exactly what nerves to push to make the thremble .. its god like,
Suddenly the 3rd woman starts to cry ... the others try to comport her and ask her 'whats going on honey, why are you crying'. She just says in tears .. My man is game developer, he just sits there on the bed and tells me what kind of amaizing things he plans to do with me.

cheers moeses

The persistent universe and the single player campaign have been split into 2 separate games

Looks like we wont get the single player campaign this year.

A journalist from germany's biggest gaming magazine/page said the following:

Quote:
Chris stated in an interview that all content for Squadron42 (graphics, missions) will be complete by the end of the year. There is still more work to do concerning some basic systems like the AI or the coversystem for infiltration missions. Those will take more time.

The only comment from Cloud Imperium Games is that no release dates have been discussed. That is not exactly a denial and I it might just be some miscommunication where chris roberts is (again) saying something without having a arrangement (or following it) with other departments.
