I played a little F-15 over the weekend, certainly feels more 'lock-on' than the other DCS modules, Didnt spend much time in the air as I had to do all the HOTAS mapping crap a couple of times over, so still not shot anything.
then went back to A-10C as I have been messing with rotary for a few months, I love that plane, although the new update seems to make tank spotting incredibly hard, anyone else noticed this?

Only had the a10 since just before Xmas so not the best judge. I've always found it difficult though if that helps :-p

I used to have the black widow, upgraded to the thrustmaster tflight hotas x, still not enough switches but its a massive improvement for less than £40

I tend to use the buttons on the throttle as modifiers for the hat

Re Joystick, I started with the black widow, and then my wonderful wife gave me an x-55 for my birthday last year, its a gamechanger with the A-10, I can fly completely with HOTAS and all the button maps are on a downloadable profile.
The Sim just seemed to make more sense playing like this. I did of course want the Thrustmaster, but clearly I had not accumulated enough husband points

And Dom, I would love to play online, only tried twice with a guy from the eagle forums, but never really got a game going, so count me well in

I have a brand new CH Pro pedal set that's destined for ebay if anyone's interested, they are unused as I found my Clubsport Pro car pedals can be set up to work with DCS
