3 Commando Brigade

I had a generic response from support about my beta key, but it was entirely the wrong bloody question that they answered... I may get this fixed just in time to not be able to play before it ends :'(

Had a bash on this with a friend during the beta. Reckon I'll be getting it in March. Was good fun and would be good to get a few 3CB fireteams roaming the streets.

Is this a good game? Like team work?

Mixed reviews.

I'm not tempted by it at all

It's alright.

I got it over some friends for 20€ and I would have not bought it for more than 30€ (59€ is the release price in germany). It's fun to play in teams that work well and that obviously includes people you know. Yesterday I played the game for about 10 hours (I also have to write conclusion for a review) and I played in a lot of constellations. I am level 12 now and so far pretty much all encounters and side were easily done alone.

I also played with a friend and later with bunny and we did story related missions on normal difficulty. Some of the missions fromabout level 8 would have been hard alone and they are definetly easier and more fun if you have at least another players with you.  The last mission I was was actually pretty hard but it was also due to the fact that Bunny was level 6 and we were doing a mission that is recommended for level 10 players.

Beside that I did some two missions with random people and the biggest issue seems to be that I got people from all over the world and from let's say 8 players, only one did speak english. I mostly heard a weird mix of russian, spanish and something that sounded like chinese. :V

What is the max level on release?, i played on the open and closed beta and it was ok but didn't grab me, also how large is the useable map area on release?. I may consider getting it if the prices drop abit but 60 euros for the basic game and 99 euros for the game plus season pass is way too much.

Season pass? Let me tell you where I am....

AAAANNNND, I bet that only includes some of the DLC, there will be other DLC that you have to pay for no matter what. I bet my left bollock on it.

Ubisoft is certainly not the most liked video game company but let's just change perspective for a moment.

- You have a game that is more or less a mmo.
- You do not rely on a subscription fee

How do you keep things running, but you also make pofit?

The only answer is to release additional content for money that people will buy. Technically ArmA 3 also a "season pass" it is just called a DLC Bundle. I guess this is some clever marketing because the term season pass is seen in a negative light among some groups of gamers. The problems I see with this special season pass/dlc bundle is the price which is 39€ which is a lot considering the base game already costs 59€. So you more or less pay 100€ for the game and some future dlc which is quite a lot.

The general problem with season passes/dlc bundles is that you buy a pig in a poke.


To get back to Nemiuks quesions:
- Max lvl is 30 as far as I know.
