Darkest Dungeon: 3CB Edition

So Darkest Dungeon is out of Early Access and so I decided to have a go at it again.

Darkest Dungeon is a more or less rougelike Dungeon Crawler. One of the key points is that your heroes can get pretty insane or die. You are trying to retake a gothic manson and the surrounding areas and madness is around every corner. You can now also rename your characters and so I decided  that I will create a 3CB Party. You can be sure that a lot of the names you will see here wont make it.


After the tutorial I maxed out the avaible characters as much as possible (you can get more later) and decided who will go on the first little adventure.







The first enemy of our little party were some maggots. No problem here.


The next fight however had some tense moments. Jaimie's Mom freaked out a bit and two things can happen in the game. She will form a bad affliction or become heroic.





After Jaimie's Mom showed them who is boss. Serjames got some trouble in the next fight.


Oh well...


Benzy read a book he should not have touched.




While our heroes were pretty stressed, we made it out with everyone alive but not with everyone untouched.


Whiplash was in the meantime relaxing back at the bar because the tutorial was too stressy for him.

Be careful taking Null in there, you know how fragile he is Does Benzy not come with a "shout" ability?

Sometimes you have to sacrifice somebody. At time being I could only have 8 heroes and you cant always select what you get. To be able to get more gyus for the meatgrinder I had to make somebody die. In this case it was Jamster.



After Jamster unfortunate death I also had more stuff to upgrade a building that allows me to have 15 heros in my roster and so Niko, XiShogun and Clyde have joined me.

They nearly finished their first adventure but I had to retreat.

Another little adventure with a nasty suprise.

All was relatively going well when suddenly BOSS FIGHT!



This bitch had a lot of HP and to make it worse he decided to spawn 3 more monsters to help him out.


It was a very tough fight since one of those monsters is a healer and I had to find away to get the boss to the front lines where my melee fighters could do some good damage while the monsters constantly hit on DeeJay


All that bashing had consequences.



Somehow I managed to kill the boss.


Since the boss spawned to assholes, I had my hopes up that they also despawn when he is dead. My hopes were crushed like Dogbadger and Rev..


I managed to retreat with DeeJay and Moeses. In the meantime Serjames spend too much time in a brothel and Is nowhere to be found. Arka also decided to stop drinking.
