Stellaris

I was suuuuuuper pumped for this, watching Scott Manley play etc.... then played it for a few days and just lost interest  Frustrates me that it removes the ability to micromanage for no reason (ie, Sectors), when managing the entire empire in things like this is part of what I love. I can understand why they do things like that (vassals) in CK2, as there's diplomacy between you and vassals etc, but there's no equivalent subtlety to Stellaris and it just enforces hands-offness for no gameplay reason

I'm really in to this at the moment, I can see what you mean about the sectors though Nick, but so far it hasn't hampered my love of it. I'm trying to stay as involved as possible with my sectors (only have two at the moment) and frequently impose direct rule on various planets for a time if I want to change the direction of things.

I'm currently exploring and colonising the outer rim of the galaxy, and have found myself in a face off between my alliance, the Sol Axis, and a rival faction. A border war ended in white peace as neither side could break the deadlock.
Currently upgrading my fleet en masse in preparation for round 2!
