And another nail for the coffin. The developers claimed that they will bring additional content for the game in the form of paid dlc. A recent statement sounds different.

Old statement:
Quote:
We do want to add a ton of features, like we’ve just discussed: Freighters, bases, these type of things. But we want to do it for free. You’ve paid for the game, so you should get this stuff without paying even more money. So no, there will be no paid DLC, just patches”.

Recent statement:

Maybe in the future there’s some reason why we just couldn’t possibly afford to do a certain feature without charging for it. Perhaps I was naive in suggesting all updates would be free.

Steam wouldn't refund me. Uninstalled. What a load of bullocks that was!

You have to play less than 2 hours to qualify

Got my refund at 3h without any sort of further questioning. What did you send them for the refund request, and how long was it?

Dig your heels in Parks. It's your statutory right to have a refund for anything up to 14 days from the time of purchase.

https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds

Quote:
You must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel.
They have another 14 days to return the goods once they’ve told you.

You must refund the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
They don’t have to provide a reason.

From Steam's own terms.

Quote:
You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it.
It doesn't matter. Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and the title has been played for less than two hours. There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look.

It's a statutory right, you can't give it away and it can't be taken from you.

What I imagine is going is now that it's out a lot of people are asking for refunds. Steam are probably fobbing people off in the hope they'll just piss off so they get to keep the money.

Return it as a faulty goods.

Ie, it doesn't work as advertised. Struggles to run on top of the range system. Unplayable etc etc.

The "2 hour rule" I think is for reasons of 'I just don't like it'

Well, not just trying to be different, but I quite like it!
Im running at about 50FPS average on a gtx970, albeit with a G-sync monitor which I suspect is keeping things smooth. I am also using a 360 Pad, which seems like a better bet than the mouse/keyboard controls which dont feel properly realised.

Im not saying its the best game ever, and certainly would be disappointed had I believed the ridiculous hype, the game could never have lived up to that, as even the developers realised. But its ok, I can see me sinking some hours into it.

They stated I had played it for more than 2 hours it was at 3 hours 47 minutes only because I left it f**k running while I went shopping so angry about it.
