I'm somewhat concerned over the timing for Star Citizen too - Paid for it quite a while back already, but it's still years away from completion. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those who'd rather they rush it and don't do it right, but it's still taking forever, haha.

Concerned is a good description on how I feel about Star Citizen for the last two years. The press likes to take it as a shiny example for crowdfunding, but to me it is a good example of what is wrong in the current industry. People keep throwing tons of money at something that is extremely vague.

It's quite funny and sad but only about 30% of the people who have backed the game so far did spend a "normal" price for the game. That was a package for about 49€. The majority of people spend way more money and by statistics the average price that people paid is 80-90€. All for something that is pretty vague.

I feel that people need to stop throwing money at chris roberts and actually force him to finish something. The first "release date" was 2014 and all we actually got to see or to play are some unfinished and unconnected modules. That is the reality in 2016.

There is no war to end all wars.

I kind of feel like no mans sky realistically is at a similar stage of development, but they threw it out unfinished and charged full whack after they saw the level of hype. That and Sony wanted something to compete with elite on the xbone.

In defence of star citizen, Roberts has been completely open about adding additional features as the level of funding increases. It just seems that the vocal minority don't understand that extra features results in more dev time. But I agree that they should probably draw a line and get a working game out.

The devs are not too happy over at Star Citizen. The problem largely being Chris Roberts. He keeps promising features that the fans ask for without consulting the devs. Unrealistic timeframes etc.

General word from devs working there is...'very talented colleagues, lots to learn. Get on the gravy train because the money won't last''

I'm not sure if that means that the project could go down the pan.
