Great gameplay. Tough as nails as usual with OSOD

Only feedback from me would be that as cherno is so "dry" could we add more ambience, e.g. signs that they've just been attacked by a huge paradrop etc... Maybe some shot down aircraft. Parachutes, destroyed local militia or defender Vic's. Some burning buildings and cars etc... Impromptu roadblocks setup etc

Anyway just some ideas [emoji1783]

OSOD missiles do not track properly on the radar. We only had a lock warning (flashing orange) and no missile launch/tracking warning. The problem is, you are always being locked in the AO whilst above a certain alt.

Experienced poor FPS issues whilst in the apache, was fine whole session until about the last 5-10 mins where I was experiencing FPS drops to about 5fps.

OSOD uses vanilla S-400 missiles and radar, with adjusted engagement heights and lock times.  The RWR issue is on the game engine side, as is the lock tone, which you reported in an earlier Engarde mission before OSOD sams were added.

Did anyone else experience the FPS drop at the same time?  Otherwise, it sounds like a client-side issue.  Are you running the x64 client?

Nick and I were also getting a bitching betty "missile!" warning when being fired at on the test mission by manpads, but no indication on the sensor panel as to where the missile was. When we got locked up by the SAM's at the end I was seeing a red "M" coming at me. But as I said after the mission I was continually locked after that event regardless of where I was.

I had one person with frame issues (But he is Welsh?)  otherwise frames were good. The balance was slightly in favour of 3cb perhaps a few more Ai but not much more? Otherwise, I think this would work fine for Pub ops.

On this map we mainly seem to be attacking one region: Berezino, the surrounding villages and the area west of it.

I had the idea of placing a one or two LUPs all the way in the west of the map. For example grids: 014-073, 008-033 and 009-052. The LUPs would have a few trenches, a cammo net, no vehicles and limited supplies. Similar to a Patrol Op. This would allow smaller groups of players to perform ambushes, hit and runs or recces in west Chernarus. Because it is limited in supplies and support, these should not be meant to perform large scale assaults.

Story wise this makes sense, as the Russian force is airborne and not as well organised/dug in as on other maps.

The idea of the PB tasks to the south was exactly this.  So you could go out and expand your base of operations.

Have these been tried yet?
