New mission to try on the Public


Resistance
 
Hope you guys enjoy it. It's been up all Monday night and getting pretty good reviews.

Very different from the normal rotation.

Based on a group of Rebels you start with basically NOTHING just some simple weapons etc then you have to engage CSAT forces and re-win back all your AAF kit. It's untweaked at the moment so still needs a few 3CB touches but we'll add those and then get it into rotation.

It's been really good fun with a little more action oriented gameplay - LOOTz !!!

Just played it for 5 hours straight.
Pretty good!

- change to 3CB style tags on players/vehicles
- add BTC Revive?
- fix some scopes
- increase enemy spawn distance
- add long range radio's? maybe not

Only thing I don't like is the instant group re-spawn. Makes people careless about dying, and therefore less tactical in play style.
Might be interesting to put on base re-spawn with an endless supply of ATV's that re-spawn when left for 5 minutes.

Yes nice mission i like it. Re-spawn yes change that to only re-spawn in base after 600 sec. and yes we need BTC revive in this. with maybe few basic medical supply in base on start.
and distance on witch enemy spawn when attacking like airfield should be increased. spawning Tigris on 400m is bit to close :D

Very enjoyable few hours testing the new mission last night and I'd agree with the suggestions listed above. I also wonder if it is worth altering the clean up script to remove some of the AI bodies after a shorter period of time and making the loot crates the main looting objectives / source of new gear. After each contact, we seemed to spend a massive amount of time moving to each downed enemy, effectively paralyzing the game. Perhaps if the crates carried more worth, we'd put more of an emphasis on capturing the AO, loading up the crates into vehicles, and getting them back to base for new spawns (or fortifying AO's we've captured), rather than moving from corpse to corpse and littering the server with discarded mags / smoke grenades etc....
