I don't think this will be added to all variants, or should be. As Serjames said, the argument to add it to one version was only just won. It was included to give mission makers the option on Private ops - where you can't just respawn - so that Apache pilots could perform emergency extractions of other downed helicopter pilots and return them to base to collect another helicopter.

Limit it to REC and downed pilots?

Surely you can make the seats only available to those slots just like piloy seats are only available for pilots and kicks others off

It's only meant as an emergency option, for example to extract a downed pilot who can't wait for a transport bird to recover them. As such there is a duplicate Multirole variant that has the jump seats enabled, so the mission creator can decide whether they want to allow jump seats or not - the loadouts are all interchangeable through the Helicopter Resupply Menu added by the new resupply crate items.

Edit: only just saw page 3 of this discussion... o\

WRT limiting it to particular slots, that rather defeats the point of it being an emergency option, for example as mentioned before the possibility of extracting the sole survivor of a section etc.

Which is exactly where the precedent comes from:

I'm familiar with the situation, I was pointing out that having it enabled but limited rather defeated the point of it being enabled. I say that currently it's just fine, with the mission editor being able to choose to allow it or not.

It's not something the BAF use, so it is unlikely. We have more than enough UK gear to work on to occupy the whole of 2016 and beyond. Chances are RHS will add it to the US side anyway.
