TS3 Soundprofile (Name reading + default sounds)

Hey guys,

i want to share my TS3 Soundprofile with you:
https://gitlab.com/reV/files/raw/master ... efault.zip

It's a mix of the original sounds and the speech engine.
It only uses the speech engine for user related messages like "reV joined", "reV timed out" or "reV disconnected"

Just extract it in your TS3 directory, restart teamspeak, set the soundprofile under options (and maybe restart ts again)

I know there a lot of people that disable the ts sounds at all because its killing their immersion and its kinda noisy at events/ops.
But I like when i dont have to switch back to desktop/ts3 to see if that guy that got timed out / got moved out the channel was in my squad or not.

If there are people with difficulty names that the speech engine cant read correctly, you can add the person to your ts3 contact list and set a specific phonetic name or just force him to set a propper phonetic name on their own client...

I wish teamspeak would offer a clever and easy way to manage notifications for different channels. When I am in the radio channels I want no sounds from teamspeak, but as soon as I leave them I would rather know it if somebody is joining, leaving or poking me. Teamspeak also needs a full restart when you change those settings, which is also quite annoying.

I'm with you on that one. There are overlays but unfortunately the injector doesn't seem to work with PW6 for me. Overwolf is too annoying.

The obvious answer is a small monitor for TS.

Curious as to what about OW is too annoying for you? I've been impressed by just how discreet and unintrusive it is personally. The text colour is just right that it's barely noticeable in your peripheral vision at the corner of the screen, but is easily readable if you flick your eyes down to check it.

Compatibility with hotkeys for multiple games, adverts, random crashes, decides if and when it wants to work. it's 'almost' as bad as Raptr/Amd Gaming Evolved in being an interfering pain in the ass.

2/10 Would nuke from my system again.

Not seen any adverts at all 0.o I've had it crash twice, and those cases were bad - they dragged TS down with it. But otherwise, it's been a perfect gentleman.

You can create a hotkey under Options>Hotkey>Add>Advanced Actions>Server>Sounds

So you can then toggle the sounds on and off

Wow. Thanks for the comment.

Ok, I'll give OW a bash and see how it is these days. I'll report back if I come across any issues.

Thanks Shargaas - that's some mighty Google-fu you've got going on there ;)

For me, I reckoned it was a conflict between TFAR (an Arma radio plugin that modifies how TS behaves) and Overwolf as it happened during situations where a lot of weird things coincided. If it ever reoccurs though, I'll be sure to give a yell in case any diagnostics help you guys :)
