I noticed your section had picked a BOF on the radio tower (in video at 4:26) and were all facing south to shoot into the military compound...while leaving your western flank completely exposed against an entire town full of AI!!!
I jumped into Zeus and took remote-control of a russian MG gunner in the town. From his position I could clearly see you skyline at your BOF.
I wanted to be nice and started with a few
warning ranging shots to give you time to react...but...nothing happened.
So I let the PKM rip into your (horribly exposed) flank until -- about one PKM belt and five casualties into the massacre -- you started putting a few rounds near to my window.
I reloaded while moving away from the window and was expecting my return to the window to be greeted by mass fire into my face but to my surprise I stayed alive.
I could see three downed guys on your northern side completely un-attended, with two more down in your middle and a few people scrambling around them...
Yet somehow they were failing to grasp the concept of "getting their heads down" so I put another two belts worth of ammo around their positions.
Since I wanted to give everyone a chance to live and learn from the tactical error I started shooting a bit more carefully and off-target.
Once it seemed like you had gotten the message and started returning some more accurate fire I moved downstairs and left the AI (stopped remote-controlling it).
When I checked back on that town 10+ minutes later I was surprised to find the PKM gunner still alive (wandering around the road in front of his building) and the section back in their old position, happily exposed to the west again.
So I took remote control again and advanced on your position, leaving the town behind me. Nobody seemed to notice me (to be fair, there were a few trees providing concealment) but they certainly felt the second-to-last belt of PKM ammo
Again, not wanting to accidentally wipe out an entire section, I advanced even more, waiting for someone to finally spot and engage me...
It took my last belt of PKM ammo (mostly dumped into the side of a building for hopefully cinematic-but-not-too-deadly effect) to get someone's attention and I was finally shot during my suicide-sprint towards your position.
Wiping out the entire section would have been trivial had I been an "actual" enemy without restraint so here's the moral of the story:
Don't tunnel-vision on the enemy or you're about to be the turkey in your turkey shoot.
