The Story of a Nickname

Pebbles.

Because some idiot could pronounce my surname, not because I'm a sweet little stoneage cartoon character. Or a miniature rockape.

There was a writer and cartoonist in the 'Rangers No1 Fanzine' called  "the Bluemax" who had taken it from the German WW1 airman's medal. Being a nipper I just thought it was cool and when I went to register it as my first email address it was taken so Bluemaxx was born.

I've also been known as Mason Boyne after Robbie Coltranes character satirising Scottish Orangemen. I apparently share similarities in social outlook.

One of my favorite bands is a ska/punk band from Florida called Less Than Jake, replace the name of the drummer's dog with my name and there you go.

I'm still trying to convince people that I'm in no way connected to the 'morethandave' that signed up on the forums a few days before I did...

Murphy's Law of Combat Operations # 8: If at first you don't succeed... call in an airstrike.

Was playing a text-based game called Kingdom of Loathing when i was about 12/13. Thought i was getting Vercingettorix, the mighty general but came away with his dyslexic cousin instead :p
Stuck with it ever since or used the shortened 'Vex' where it was too long :)

Amazing backgrounds snd funny ones...

My Grandads name was Peter Parker.... everyone that knew my family said i should have been his son we were so alike... so i was always called Parker (friends preferred parkerman).. spidermans son and it stuck throughout the years.. had that nickname for 16 years now. God rest his soul...

My *original* gaming name was pretty cringe and shall be left be for the moment, but around age 11 I wanted to play with a roleplaying community in Freelancer and had to pick a "real" name. So I chose Nick Seafort as the primary character of a scifi series I love :)
