xD i know where you pointing, doing quick math that plane is capable of delivering 79 000 rounds per minute (7.62x25 tokarev) while having 71(x88) rounds in magazine that means about 5 seconds of shooting. Compared to 30 mm GAU 8 with 4.200 rpm while carring 1 350 rounds, around 20 second of firing.

Its calm breeze againt A-10, but still dat rate of fire =D

Very different from BRRRRRT  ^^

Everytime i read about depleted uranium ( used in GAU-8 projectiles) it always remind me of tactial nukes an Fat Man from Fallout 4.

In reality depleted uranium is used, because his density is 68% more than lead ^^

Also, it bursts into violent flames on impact and has other godawful impact effects that lead doesn't.

Which actually helps it to penetrate armour.

Tungsten blunts and mushrooms when it impacts on a hardened surface where as DU vapourises, this keeps the projectile 'sharp' as it continues to penetrate. Once penetration occurs, the resultant hot gasses are very effective against crew...

Not a nice way to go at all.

That and the dust/fragments from the disintegrating round are still irradiated, so even if you survive, it doesn't mean your sperm count will.

Murphy's Law of Combat Operations # 8: If at first you don't succeed... call in an airstrike.

You'd have carry one around in your underpants for months for it to do that to be honest.
