Help - Joystick/Hotas recommendations?

Great bang for buck is the Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS X

The problem with it though is that it doesn't use hall effect sensors and it shows. Fantastic for £30-40 and the occasional mess around in games like Warthunder.

I hardy ever used it and gave it to a mate who was massively into Warthunder. I'd consider another one but would probably go for something better.

Same as Robbie, the Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS X was my old stick and it was great and lasted me a while, only got replaced as my Mrs got me the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog :)

Can vouch for the t flight, you won't get a better stick without spending silly money. You need to do some creative key mapping to get the most out of DCS for it though. It depends what modules you go for

Think its mainly aesthetic, there are lots of video on YouTube comparing the 3 big guns, the x52 x55 and warthog

Yeah. I believe they've been bought out by madcatz and the quality has suffered

If you don't really care if your flightstick looks "cool", I can recommend you the Saitek X52 and the Saitek pro rudder flight pedals.

It's alright, solid build and fair priced. Just doesn't have the looks like X52 Pro.

If you are going to spend £200+ on a Saitek then it's worth spending a little bit extra for the Warthog.

I've had the T-flight Hotas X and tried the others.

T-Flight = £35
Saitek X56 = £210
Warthog = £260

The difference between the quality of the X56 and the Warthog is worth a LOT more than the £50. The Saitek is not even worth half of what they are charging.

Buying a warthog is actually investment for (serious) hobby and it is one part of investment. Then you need rudder pedals and good setup for your warthog. Its not a light stick to fly (it will improve over time) so if it's used in un- ergonomic setup, it will be unpleasant.

The most annoyng thing about ARMA franchise isin't the bugs; The the worst thing is: You don't have better option.

The HOTAS Warthog is a dream to fly with, the feel of it and response of it are awesome, best stick i have ever had.
