In the SCC too as an A/PO, mainly instructing on PBL2 or Safety Boat at Raleigh or Weymouth. Additionally in the RN as an O/C whilst studying Mechanical Engineering at Plymouth Uni.

This is how the Rock Apes got their moniker. Two Raf Regt. chaps go out to shoot "rock ape" baboons, one of them shoots the other in the dark. At the inquest he says : but he looked like a rock ape, and it stuck. 

My father was in the air force for 30 years, he has nothing but good things to say about the regt... *cough*
