Introduction - Tim

Hi all,

You might've seen me around on public. I just applied to join you guys. Hope to see what your private ops are like soon, but no rush.

To tell you something about my past experience. I started in an Arma 2 tactical unit, the 10/21st Royal Marine Company. After a while I was basically in charge; made the missions, hosted everything, etc. The operations were almost as large as the ones you have here. Unfortunately due to time constraints I had to stop and the thing was disbanded soon after. I tried the 11th MEU, but didn't enjoy that too much. Ended up playing with a group of old friends from SWAT4 under the names of AST, 255th SWG and 22nd SAS. The gameplay was slightly more serious than what I've seen in the public ops, but the communities slowly dwindled in size. After not having time for a year, I now hope to do some tactical Arma 3 again.

Mostly enjoy being in infantry and definitely like to take on some form of a leadership role sometimes. Especially doing WW2 ops sometimes seem interesting. I've only done several with the 10/21st in Arma 2, but that was a long time ago.

My profession is in computer systems, networks and security. So in the far future I might be able to help out if any issues arise regarding hosting. I've mentioned the willingness to provide financial support in my application as "no". It's hard for me to predict whether it will be worth it or not. I might change my opinion in the future. I also wouldn't mind going back to mission making, however free time to do so might make such endeavours slow.

At the moment I have a back injury which forces me to stay home. Therefore I have more free time than I will have in the future. But I don't think future attendance will be an issue.

I hope to see you guys in Arma again soon!

Tim

Welcome aboard Tim.  Can understand the comment regarding donations.  Why pay for something that you  might not enjoy?   Did the same myself if I recall.  Once you've settled in and find you are enjoying it, if you want to, you can donate as much as you like.  Money goes towards server costs etc and, in my view, is worth every penny.  Its  ot for everyone, but some like to give a little back.  I hope you enjoy it.

There are no respawns in real life.

Been massively impressed with your work Tim and I think you'll be an asset to this community. Especially tonight with either your friends or the new comers. I stood back tonight and watched you host them purposely, to see your patience and assistance you could offer them. Careful that your head does not stick in the door from this compliment haha, glad to have you with us.

Those are some kind words Skullzy. Thanks! It's a great community and I was glad I could do a match with my old friends again here. I was very happy when they were able to get the games fixed on time. I hope we'll have even more of them next time.

We had an awesome op last night in your section!

I have no clue what this means, but I guess I'm safe. xD
