Anyone have this problem, or am I just lucky?

i still use the arma 3 alpha controls and didnt changed much in the ace controls,
for me its right click to activate locking on targets with launchers (except jav)

can you change other settings, like vanilla controls or video settings?

Since apex the default key is 'T', by default it is bound to the short range radio additional transmit, found in the TFAR controls. If you change/remove that keybind T should work provided you are in range.
