How to move mod folder location?

I currently have A3 + mods installed on my C: drive, an SSD. The mod folders are in the same place as the game folders.
However, I'm running out of space for installing further mods - is it a simple matter to move my mods to an HDD, leaving A3 on the SSD?

Yes, you can simply move all your mods into a seperate folder on your HDD, leaving A3 on your SSD. Just make sure you change the mod directory path in PwS:

Go to Tools > Settings > Game settings



Change the mod directory to the new directory (in your case, on your HDD).

Supplementary question - is the mod pbo read into memory at game load, or accessed during play? I'm wondering whether there will be a noticeable affect on fps by moving mods from SSD to HDD.

No problem.

I don't know to be honest, I think it may be the latter since you can't edit/move/delete mods while the game is running since they're "in use". Maybe ask on the BI forums, you'll probably get a response there.
