White jagged lines/edges when using FSAA

Yeah it really bugs me, and it's an issue I've had since the Alpha. Can't believe they haven't fixed it yet, it looks horrible.

It's one of the reasons I adopted low cost AA on arma: push the monitor back a few inches ;)  Also helps a bit with performance if you simply use one of the pseudo-AA algorithms, at 1440p some of them even produce decent not-too-blurred visuals xD

If your PC can handle it, try a combination of FSAA and post processing AA (like the new CMAA option)?

Thanks, that's what I usually run - FSAA 4x + SMAA High. SMAA does help, but the point is that those white lines shouldn't even be there in the first place. AA is meant to eliminate jagged edges, not create them (especially not these stark white lines).

I've resorted back to good old FXAA for now (no FSAA).

I didn't think the post process AA works too well on 'moving' objects?
i.e. buildings look fine while stopped, but go jaggy while you walk around

Hmm, never noticed that. I've decided to turn FSAA off anyway since when aiming down scopes on A2 maps the grass/trees half my frames. Turning off FSAA has given me not only higher frames (obviously) but more consistent frames. Gonna keep it like this for a while and see how I get on :)

Just close your eyes while moving and it should be fine.  ;-)
