Check your dynamic range is set to full.... WOW ! what a difference

Actually blew me away...

While I was in there fiddling I also managed to overclock my TV refresh by 2 points to 62Hz.

I imagine proper monitors could do a lot more...

It's done by creating a custom resolution....

Super easy and a little % boost to refresh makes a nice difference !

from what I can make out... it's an NVidia bug only... so you're probably good :-)

24 hours later I'm still stunned how much better my screen looks... It's been murky for... well, must be 4 years.... (DOH!)

Damn stupid drivers

Yes, this only seems to effect hdmi people.

I also noticed that nvidia got rid of the option in the latest driver !!!

I had to use a registry hack to get it to work !

Will post a link when I'm home

I've always had this enabled, pretty sure it was on by default for me. Don't forget to also enable this for your video colour settings as well (affects all video content, including YouTube and desktop media players).

Dan, don't do this in the desktop, just set this in the Nvidia control panel - it's a native feature... and no small icons

I think Serjames is referencing DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution), but I'm not sure this is available for all Nvidia cards (maybe only the 900 series?).
