It's probably the security rating we require (which I think is 26)

Normally when you join on a PC it will tell a new user that you have to wait a short time while it creates a security validation token. We use a value of 26 which takes about 30 seconds or so I think to create, this boring wait time prevents Banned clients from creating a new ID and simply re-joining to Troll. Theory being they're such deadbeats that a wait of 30 seconds is likely to cause their petty souls to drain through their feet to the burning hell from whence they came.... or something like that.

It maybe that the iPad client doesn't allow this security token - or that you may have to create it in someway externally ?
