Building a pc for BIL sanity check me.


If he's messing with ADOBE stuffs he needs Hyperthreading.... those extra cores will really help him so i7 is the way to go

He's gonna need more memory too... the more the better - it's cheap so don't skimp there...  32gb recommended for working with larger art files etc. Don't worry about speed or OC ability just capacity for him

well it just depends how serious at it he is.. Adobe Photoshop is one of the programs out there that IS actually multi-threaded properly and will use all the cores. So it's 4 cores vs 8 on the i7..
