I can has SSD!

Yeah, you just create a new steam library folder and you have the option as to where to install when you download a new game

Just scored a 250gb samsung evo from a colleague , he went out and bought himself a 1tb! and someone bought him the 250gb as a present hah.
so win all round.
now, the big question is, do I install windows 10 and are those keys on ebay legit? you know the ones for like £17.99 for win 10 pro 64

also, i've never shared my steam game location before, how does this work? does it simply allow you to choose which drive you want to install your game too? i'm going from a 500gb C to a 250gb, I usually have about 150-200gb of games installed you see :D

Pete

Install all on the ssd one at a time then use steam mover to move them across to your HDD. Then when you want to play it transfer it back to SSD thats what i do :)

Seems overly complex, rather than just installing high-use/long-load games on the SSD and other stuff on the HDD :/

You click one button and it transfers the game via command prompt, hardly complex bud

Apart from the time spent copying back and forth, and needless write-cycles on your SSD?

Its command prompt, it will only copy between the two places. Read it up it will educate you on the process.

Nick has a valid technical point why he wouldn't recommend the process, but equally if you're happy with how it functions that's fine Parker. Let's not make it personal please, or I'm going to have to confiscate that SSD.  ;-)

I have not had any problems or duplicate files since using it, i use Advance system care pro to clean my pc every now and then anyway. Give it a try if you dont get along then the dual steam folders is always an option i just found it easier as most games i dont play for ages and then when i do i play it for a long period so no need to transfer back straight away

Understandable how it comes across. Never intentially personal but i could have worded it less brutal, i apologise if i offended anyone.
