SITUATION:

Funded by drug money, gun running and extortion, bandits in the border areas of Guatemala have recently started to expand their sphere of influence into neighbouring Belize. Despite repeated requests to the Guatemalan government, no action has been taken to police the border regions, and Guatemala has made it clear that any incursion by the Belize armed forces would be met with hostility. As a commonwealth state, the Belize government have requested assistance from the Crown in dealing with the situation.

It has been agreed that British Armed Forces will undertake a clandestine raid into the border region, with the aim of disrupting these illegal “businesses” and destroying whatever assets that can be found.  The large number of innocent civilians in the area, preclude the use of aerial bombardment.

3 Commando Brigade, on routine jungle training in Belize, have been tasked with the operation.

2nd Coy, from 42 Commando, along with helicopters from 847 Naval Air Squadron are now situated in a small jungle clearing on the border with Guatemala, preparing to strike the paramilitary forces.

Intel on the paramilitaries is sparse, but the intelligence community have been able to piece together sufficient data to identify a number of key paramilitary installations.  The aim is to hit these hard and fast, to disrupt the warlords and weaken their hold over the region.


MISSION:

2nd Coy, 42 Commando is to strike key targets in a series of airborne clandestine raids into Guatemalan territory.

Wildcats from 847 Naval Air Squadron have been attached to each Commando section in the strike force.

Objectives:

• Seize and destroy any arms supplies

• Locate any drug distribution facilities and destroy, along with any drugs
• Neutralise their command centres

We don't reserve slots except those specifically mentioned in the post (so 1-0 and FAC) I'm afraid for Public Actions. I'm sure you'll be able to grab an AT slot on the night, it's first come first served anyway. Just make sure you get there early
