SITUATION:

Province of Bystrica, Olgravia.
October, 2018

Three months after the unprovoked annexation of the nation of Olgravia by the forces of Novorossiya, combined NATO operations and UN sanctions have effectively cut off Novorossiya from receiving aid and equipment from their allies. Only North Korea continues to sell arms and these are being shipped via Ostyzetia in Bystrica, rather than docking in Novorossiya for both clandestine and logistical reasons. With a major NATO offensive planned in the coming days, it would be a significant blow to the Novorossiyan forces if their last logistical supply route can be cut. Sadly, their installations are intertwined with civilian populace and with significant AAA and SAM protection, an air attack is not practical and too risky. Instead, a night time commando raid in the best tradition of the Royal Marines is planned to go deep behind enemy lines and destroy several targets of interest. Deployed in Offshore Raiding Craft from a task force at sea, Lima Coy have infiltrated the estuary and are situated approx 2km East of the town of Ostyzetia. A mechanical issue has delayed the mission and now there is only 1 hour of darkness remaining before dawn.



MISSION:
Lima Coy, 42 Commando.

Primary Objectives:
1) Destroy any vehicles, ammunition or supplies found at the dockyard.
2) Blow up all transformers at the power station.
3) Destroy all vehicles, supplies and rolling stock found at the railway sidings
4) Destroy all the fuel stores.
5) Knock out both sets of transformers to the West of Nyetzina
6) Destroy or damage the bridge to prevent it's use.

Some of these targets are expected to require significant amounts of explosives to destroy.

OPFOR:
Strength, Composition, Disposition

• Unknown amount of Novorossiyan forces. They're armed with a mixture of small arms and soviet style vehicles. It's likely that there are large garrisons in all populated areas to control the local civilians and to protect their supply lines. Mine fields and emplaced heavy weapons should be expected.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:
Weapon Control Order: Only fire unless fired upon or if he/she is likely to commit an act to endanger life.
Hard posture, helmets on.

CIVILIAN POPULATION:
Towns are heavily populated. It's anticipated that few civilians will be seen out of doors during the early phases of the operation as a curfew is known to be in effect. Once the firing starts civilians are expected to remain indoors.
