BackgroundThe nation of Leskovets poses a threat to European peace and security after becoming a nuclear power through acquiring ex-Russian ICBM components. Fiercely nationalistic and jingoistic, it is a nation which has relied heavily on it's natural resources to fund a small but professional army. Strategically positioned between East and West, it has long since been fought over politically with both sides attempting to sway it into their sphere of influence. It has used both of these against each other but has territorial ambitions greater than it's borders. With no dialogue possible and the refusal to allow inspectors or UN officials inside its facilities, NATO has lost it's patience. In a rare occasion of international cooperation, both the West and the East have agreed to regime change being a priority.
