SITUATION:

Malden, Aegean Region. 17th March 2019.

Spurred on by their recent success in the Aegean region of the Mediterranean the Everon Federation have deployed troops across their smaller sister island of Malden. The Everon Parliament insists their actions are to protect ethnic Everons within Malden from persecution under a corrupt and failing system.

The Malden Defense Force has withdrawn from Malden, where a fragile ceasefire is in place. Neighbouring islands throughout the Aegean sea are now under pressure as militias from both sides are fighting and straining the MDF further. Everon backed forces have control over the majority of the local island chain in the south and extensive reports of Everon troops landing on smaller islands, beyond the agreed ceasefire line appear to be true.

A coalition of NATO countries are supporting the MDF to combat the growing Everon threat but have stopped short of sanctioning military action in support of the MDF against Everon troops in the Aegean Region. 45 Commando have been deployed to the Malden to disrupt Everon troop activity supporting the militias.

Having successfully gained a foothold in the towns of Cancon & Chapoi, 45 Commando is now able to launch an offensive to the East, to secure Malden’s large harbour, which will be crucial for future landings of British forces. With the Monte peninsula now secure British Forces will be arriving shortly to reinforce the Marines currently located on the Island. With 3 Troop under constant artillery to the West, 1 Troop has been ordered to move north to take the pressure off 3 Troop.With the successful capute of the town of Saint Louis by 1 Troop, this advance has left the town of Larche in a direct and unopposed advance on 1 Troops rear. As such, 2 Troop has “filled the gap”, and cleared the town of Larche

During this time, a company from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Welsh has been deployed to the island, in take over the advance from the drained Whiskey Company. With this movement, and their attachments of Warrior IFVs, are to stage an Armoured assault on the Airfield.
