SITUATION:Last year, a firing incident between the AAF and FIA led to the breakdown of their ceasefire, and eventually escalated into open warfare. NATO-AAF relations began to deteriorate, and NATO peacekeepers were reduced to the smaller island of Stratis. In February, NATO started to fully withdraw from Stratis. On July 7, 2035, the AAF suddenly attacked the remaining NATO forces on Stratis, destroying their bases and killing their commander.
From this, AAF Forces completed a full military takeover of the Altis & Stratis Islands causing the FIA to be put into hiding and only being able to conduct small scale resistance. With NATO Leaders being unable to assist the FIA due to pressure from CSAT the conflict seemed to be an inevitable victory for the AAF. Through backhand deals and clever movement of equipment NATO was able to supply FIA through multiple untraceable shipping routes. With this extra supplies and training from NATO Forces the AAF were then put on the backfoot being pushed into Altis's NW mountain range, with this development NATO began a drawdown of force elements around the island.
With the drawdown of force elements, British troops are now stationed in Altis, where they take the lead within the Altis & Stratis Security Force, a 7 nation organisation which provides vital force protection for UK and coalition advisors who are working with Altis partners to increase the capabilities and capacity across the National Defence and Security Forces.
With the increase of AAF Resistance and FIA advances slowing down British Troops have been assigned to assist the FIA in finishing the resistance before it escalates even further.
