New flight model

I can't wait to give it a go, but sadly I'm currently limited to the gaming-equivalent of a toaster (still out of the country).
Once I'm back home and united with my gaming machine I'll give the new flightmodel a spin...probably quite literally ;)
I've been flying with keyboard (collective & rudder) and mouse (cyclic) so far and have been trying to find an excuse to upgrade to pedals (and possible a HOTAS setup)... maybe this will be it?

Hey mate, Tramps and myself will be working on helicopter training once the new flight model is in the normal build. If you are interested to help contact me on steam etc.

I know doubleposting is bad, but I do it anyway.

So I have been flying around in the dev build with the Littlebird, the Mohawk, the Ghosthawk and the Blackfoot and so far I have noticed the following.

- It feels like your helis have actually more mass
- This made me feel like I had a bit more control over the helis, especially on lower speed. I had less unwanted drifting on lower speeds
- Yaw seems to work better now, so you can use it more to control your heli.
- I think when you are hovering close to the ground you now have a pocket of air below you that can give you a bit of updrift. I cant really confirm this but it felt like this.

So far I like it.

DISREGARD!

Nearly half of the new options were turned off in the game settings, so I have to test it with all of them being enabled.

After some more flying, I dont really think that this effect is actually in the game. While I am obviously a master in paint . I found a better picture from a german webpage about helicopter physics and flight,

But I dont think that ground effect is actually in the game (yet?).
