Or sign up for one of Arf's training sessions.

There are multiple reasons why you might "suck" at flying these things. The first reason could be your hardware. If you are using controllers like a joystick and pedals, make sure they have no deadzones set in arma 3. For some reason ArmA 3 sometimes decides to set up deadzones for you and this can ruin your experience.

Another reason is that in fact joysticks for some reasons do have a kind of disadvantage at times. For some reason Joysticks do have some kind of input lag in ArmA 3. There was a good video showing it, but I  cant find it anymore. So mouse and keyboard controls are often more direct as with controllers.

When it comes to the AFM (advanced flight model) I have mixed feelings about it. I do like it that you can do more stuff as with the normal model, but the AFM often feels inconsistent to me. Especially when it comes to landings it feels like you can do the exact thing 10 times and 1 time you will damage your helicopter for no reason. Of course there is also the notorious instant explosion when your helicopter is tipping over, but that is in fact something you get with both models.

Another thing is also the framerate. As we all know ArmA 3 has not the best framerate in multiplayer. You can train for hours offline (which is something you should consider) but this will not replace experience you gather from playing in multiplayer. You could also argue that the stresslevel is different. It is not the same to fly alone in the editor and with a full helicopter.

As you can see there are a lot of reasons why things can go wrong or dont feel right.

Imagine you could actually see where you are going. :)

Plus TrackIR is also amazing as infantry or as a driver.

Same here dom I keep playing 7 days to die and become so frustrated that I can't keep situational awareness of zombies because my head won't turn.
