Yes. The website/withSix has been down a couple of times while I've been testing this, and I can still click on the small SwS client to launch any of my collections or recent mods. You the need the web UI to edit/change/add stuff though.
Don't think they are 'pushing' Chrome, it's just what they have been using while developing. They plan to cover all major browsers, and as mentioned are also working on a small in-house UI if you don't want to use a browser - this already works quite well.
