Public server 01/11 3CB after dark.

As we all know, the Mannerheim Line (sp?) is one of the toughest missions we have on our rotation.
Large numbers regularly go out and get wiped.

Last night as darkness fell, it was all quiet. A four man team donned black kit and went out in a landrover to clear out the towns. Using NV and IR we sneakily crept through the land terminating every Ruskie we came across.

They didn't stand a chance. We hardly took any incoming  and apart from our initial landing where we dismounted in the middle of an entire platoon (that was....er...fun) took no casualties.

It was great fun and really easy.

Maybe we need to rethink our approach on this particular map and take it softly softly. Going in all guns blazing only ends in disaster. Small, tight knit teams, behind enemy lines with a supply vic stashed nearby is really effective.

This gives me an idea for a mission to add to our collection if any mission makers would be willing to work with me on it. (I wouldn't even know where to start)

Sometimes the way is the actual goal and not the goal itself.

You can just fly at the western edge of the map and drop a section off and quickly kill 1-2 artillery guns. However I often have more fun when you coordinate 1-3 sections and try to fight your way there.

Combat can be fun. Stealth can be fun. As has been alluded to, the goal is to have fun rather than just win
