It has full backwards compatibility. Allegedly

I'm around if you need a hand checking the pub server missions as it's the missions more likely to be broke.

A lot of guys in the german arma community forum have not bitched about EDEN in the last weeks. Some of them are working on mods like ACE3 or the Bundeswehr Mod. They are also active on Dev Branch and I think they would have bitched if EDEN would have caused massive issues with mods.
