Chaps - This map is immense.
I've put together a small SP mission - US troops deployed from the air to take out a rebel position in the jungle, before repelling a small counter attack: (Excuse any minor issues you might spot with the actual mission/AI - I put it together very hastily)



Did an air drop so I could admire the view on the way in from the coast, lots of open space/built up areas to fight in as well as the jungle
The ambience as I entered the jungle was brilliant! So tense being in a firefight while not being able to see a thing.
Also, look at the AI, half the time they didn't know where we were being shot from either!

Also, question about this. How will\does the Multiplayer work with Apex and the Tanoa map? Like would I be able to play on the map if I haven't bought the DLC, but the person(s) hosting the server has purchased it? Or will I need to buy the Apex DLC in order to join the server\play on it?

That one lad from Essex.

Love the map! But as everything there is a compromise in the terms of enterable buildings and thats like we are back in arma 2. But the map looks just fabulous,it really make you think of loads of immersive missions!

Yeah, first thing that really stuck out was just how close we were to the enemy when the shooting started.
This happened in both engagements as well.

Should lead to some very tense firefights through the jungle, plus ambush galore!

I'm still not able to play on this map.

I'm on dev branch, Apex is installed, I can even see the world in the background when I launch my game, but it won't let me go into the Editor on Tanoa (says I need to purchase Apex). :(

Tried reinstalling Arma, no dice. I don't mind waiting until official release, but it would be nice to play it now.

Did you activate it in Steam? :)

Steam>Arma 3>Properties>DLC.

I remember needing to do that for the Marksmen one.
