We won't be considering the new kit until its in service and deployed to theater, as part of the standard loadout.

Just had a bit of a play with the new gear. The vehicles look pretty sweet, we now have BI verrsions of the HK 416 and 417, MP5K and a few re-textures of existing weapons, a few new sights and uniforms. There's a new, massive bergen that is available in MTP which looks pretty cool. Kinda reminds me of the old Bravo Two Zero film.

Oh and just thought I'd mention it, CSAT now has an 5.56 assault rifle with an under-barrel .50. Full on exploded a ghost hawk in less than a mag too. Just in case we need any more reasons to NEVER use them as op-for. Also they get the nifty anti-thermal imaging uniforms

Anti-TI uniforms? There goes our only bloody chance to find them in the brush xD

And I'm still not sure why the gunship variant of that tiltrotor has all the guns crammed right next to each other. Even aside from the barrels all getting tangled on each other, where the hell does BI think the reload feeds/gubbins/loaders fit?!

the new helmet is modular and can be worn as either a traditional helmet or with the full face and visor protection. its personal/role preference.
