WORLD EVENTS
1. MITHRIL ALLIANCEWorld Tension is rising in the Far East as the MITHRIL Alliance has been signed. People not only within the signature countries but also China and Russia are calling out the alliance as a front to spread military dominance and ideology across the Pacific. Russia and China (also North Korea) are openly speaking out against the pact and demand a dissolution of the pact, while Japan and South Korea state they will not in order to better protect their nations and cultures. Nothing as of yet has been said from the United States concerning this matter, and some fear it may result in a war, with European nations attempting to stop the potential firecracker.

2. Chechnya
As the Chechen Republic demanded recognition from the Russian Federation, mobilized troops of the 138th Motor Guards Division and the reformed 13th Guards Rife Division have entered Chechnya, engaging the newly formed Chechen militia. News reports have surfaced of the bombing of Grozny, destroying many civilian homes, although most of the residents were hastily evacuated.

3. Arrests of Korean and Chinese Airplane PassengersMultiple Koreans and Chinese passengers were arrested this week, with a few intending to travel into South Korea. Official Report is coming soon.
4. Revolutionaries in Mindanao
Islamic rebels, with suspected backing from Al Qaeda and Libya, have seized control of 1/3 of the Mindanao province in the Philippines. They have somehow obtained heavy weaponry, including ZU-23s and T54s and, with the recent capture of the local airport in Davao City, they converted a local tourist Cessna to fire some basic rocket pods. The Philippine Army is organizing to retake the southern territories and stomp out the insurgency.
In Basilan, remnants of the New People's Army (Communist Guerrilla Group) have taken control of the island, also with heavy equipment, although they are simple Katyusha knockoffs and T34s from when the Chinese supported them. They are asking for independence to be granted for themselves and are preparing island defenses in case the Philippine Army attacks to unite the nation. They are asking for any nations to support them, either diplomatically or with weapons, and promise to root out any possible terrorists from the island.
5. Protests in Japan and South KoreaWith the immediate resolution of the Liancourts Island Dispute, South Korean protests demand the permanent removal of Japanese influence on the island, and full access and control of its resources, with none giving it to Japan.
On the contrary, Japanese protesters demand a reversal of the declaration, citing the government to be inept and cowardly in giving up Japanese soil to the Koreans.
Unity of both South Korea and Japan have decreased, with minor dissent on the rise, and may grow worse if left unchecked.
