'ace_advanced_ballistics.dll not installed' error (solved)

A number of people were having problems with this error last night despite the file clearly being present.
For anyone like me that is computer illiterate we found a way around it;
To fix either; delete battleye, or better, launch arma from steam, then click the battleye tab and uncheck the box enabling battleye. This worked for everyone that i know of having trouble last night

I think it's worth us all disabling battle eye full stop tbh, mass PM or advisory?
is it just us having this issue is the next question or are other groups using PWS having this issue also?

To be fair, I dont know a single community which is still using PwS.

Don't know. I considered putting it in news but wasn't sure i have the authority :p
In all seriousness though, this error even stopped me playing offline so the word does need to be spread if any higher-ups see this

A lot use Arma3Sync

I've just re downloaded it to try out the desolation mod and it's pretty straight forward. It would completely take away the issues of PW6 updating mods whenever 'IT' feels like it (a real pain when they do it just before an OP night).

We should move to this asap, obviously there is the issue of hosting the repo but I'm sure the grownups will have that sorted.

I like PW6 in a lot of ways but the sooner we move to A3sync the better.

I wonder if anyone can code a .bat file to automatically add the PW6 repo for ease of use? Obviously those who use custom directories would be able to sort out the folder pointing on A3S them selves.

Just to confirm, if you disable battle eye through steam, then it stays disabled when launching A3 with PWS.
