Introducing Ribbons

Following the previous announcement on ranks, I'm also pleased to announce ribbons.

Ribbons are awarded for various activities and achievements on both in and out of game. They will be visible on everyone's forum profiles.

The current list of ribbons is not definitive, with new expected over time.

Campaign Medal

• Took part in a campaign
• Took part in every operation from a campaign
  (Images TBA)

Man of the match

• Extraordinary feats (E.g. took charge when SL/ FTL/Troop died and led the survivors to victory, etc.) - to be suggested by SL’s and Troop during debrief
  

Frag of the match

• Shamefully responsible for the most deaths of friendly players throughout an operation
  

Zeus operations

• 2 Zeus
  
• 6 Zeus
  
• 12 Zeus
  

Mission designer

• Created 2+ missions used for a Private operation
  
• Created 6+ missions used for a Private operation
  
• Created 12+ missions used for a Private operation
  
• Created 1+ Public missions

Leadership Medals

• Successfully led a frontline section through an operation without a single KIA (mortar, recce, troop, etc not included)
  
• Successfully led a troop through an operation without a single KIA (bug related deaths not included)
  
• Successfully led a company through an operation without a single KIA (bug related deaths not included)
  

NB. Leadership during Patrol Ops is not eligible for a ribbon.

Asset Medal

• Successfully completed an operation without the loss of an asset (Armour, Heli, etc)
  

Training Medals

• Stage 1 & 2
• Pilot / Convoy / Marksman / etc…
• Completed ALL training courses

TvT

• Section of the match (section with the most kills)
  

Public Regular

• 48+ hours spent on the public server
  

Operation Medal

• Completed 13 Operations
  
• Completed 26 Operations
  
• Completed 52 Operations
  

Combat medic

• Revived 7 separate people throughout an op (non bug related)
  

Weapons operator

• Extraordinary feats with a weapon e.g. successfully shot down air asset with a Javelin, destroyed armour with a satchel or charge, shoot down a helicopter with small arms, etc.
  

Eligibility

• To both meet the criteria for the ribbon and be a current member of 3CB

We'll be rolling out these ribbons soon, so keep an eye/ear out for them!

The idea of possible "campaigns" is something interesting though.... 

Are we counting related things for some medals from now on?

We're still to decide on which ones will be awarded either for past achievement or from a clean slate. I'll post here when we know

Ahh sweet! Guess they were before I joined. The previous group I was part off based the Sunday missions off a much longer campaign scenario, was great fun having a dynamic feel to missions, taking into factors such as actions in the previous missions etc.
