I'm having issues connecting to the public server now - all bar one of my connection attempts failed. I get ingame, spawn, and then get an error popup about ACE Ballistics or similar, at which point I get dumped to the "post-mission" screen. Verified cache, diagnosed mods. Same thing :/

Managed to connect as Whisky, went to reslot ground and then it kicked in again. So far, that was my only successful connection of the day.

I guess it might be localised to you Nick as I see 8 people playing currently and no one else reporting the same issue.
Let us know if you work out what it is or if indeed it's something server/mission related that we can help by fixing.

Try deleting ACE then reinstalling it, may be a delta patching issue.

I realised that, Apollo - figured I'd post in case others had the same problem. Mini-op worked just fine, so not sure what's going on :/

The weapon sway is so unrealistic. You wouldn't sway that much if you were holding a desert eagle, at arms length, with a 50 round hi-cap mag, drunk, in a force 8 gale.

Lol, BI have said they've intentionally opened up the new stamina system scripting commands so groups and mods can adjust it to fit. Really hoping Ace get a system in place or we allow a temporary fix while Ace get a more detailed configuration up. Lying in a bush while you wait to be able to shoot what's shooting you can't make the public very friendly for visiting prospective players. :2cents:

What horrible weapon sway? The only changes I needed to make since 1.54 came out was to drop a bit of gear that I was carrying more for convenience than necessity (48 -> 32kg) so I had enough sprint reserves...that's about it, shooting a gun for me feels pretty much the same for me. I've got this feeling that some of you are accidentally using the "hold breath" feature without realizing. The sway introduced by that feature has significantly increased so maybe that's what you guys are seeing?

Sway is totally weight related and gets very severe above 35 kg, and is fairly acceptable at lower weights from my brief tests.

We could do with some empirical tests to provide players with data and recommendations so that they can re-educate on what load-outs are sensible to carry.

I quite like this system which penalises those who try to carry too much and which encourages ammo bearing and resupply logistics.

I imagine the length of weapon is taken into consideration too, I think weapon movement/inertia was a feature of the marksman update, so I guess this is another reason it is more prominent with LMGs and DMRs.

Alex has it. By default the "aim" key or zoom in also triggers the hold breathe routine by default.

It's recommended to change this default binding to put "hold breath" onto a different key.
