The update for TFAR has most likely broke something with the arsenal in our missions: 

The long range radios are gone from the arsenal. You spawn with one if you have the correct role, but as soon as you enter the arsenal, the radio will be gone from your inventory.

You can kind of work around this by spawning in a class that has a radio (section commander) and drop it before using a virtual arsenal.

Stay put until we fix it. 

There is no war to end all wars.

It doesn't break the arsenal, it breaks our backpacks that had the long range radio integrated into it. I am guessing they changed the classnames of the radio. I believe Lifetap has already correct this as a hotfix to the Equipment mod pack but it hasn't yet been rolled out. It is likely that we will release it inhouse first. Lifetap will know better though. Tap?

I think it's good to have a mix, tbh - the paint schemes are era-linked, rather than environment-linked.

That said, getting a few more Landies would be great, so that people could get a couple of sections mounted in the version of their choice.

Yeah, that would be the same as saying "how come you can access, woodland, temperate & arctic uniforms in the arsenal"

Just an update on the Russians.  Their vests are designed to take 8-10 7.62 rounds.  So its entirely feasible to empty an entire mag of 5.56 into a vest and the target survive.

not sure if its possible but it needs something like a stun while the enemy is shot in the vests.
even if these vests are that good, the enemy shouldnt just turn around and fire accurate shots at you,
the vests might prevent penetration, but i guess it does hurt alot :D

From what I understand of the AI mechanics, shots in the vicinity of the AI will slow their reaction and reduce their accuracy i.e. suppressive fire.  But if the AI is very close and already firing at you, this will probably have a minor effect.

In Taz's case, I think it's unfair to load a mag into an AI and then he has has the ability to kill you within a couple of shots. And in regards to what reV said, even a 7.62 round to a vest is going to knock you down IRL and leave some serious bruising.
