I played for quite a while last night and experienced no crashes at all. Others crashed quite frequently normally in groups of 2-4 timeouts at once.

This is what we have done before, and once we add back in Mods to a certain point the server will probably get some issues again, Apollo is really trying his best to pinpoint out what exactly is causing these crashes, so reverting to Vanilla will make it stable, but since people do like certain mods you will have people complain about things again. So we done all that already. :)

The more mods we add the more likely we will run in to compatibility issues. Could be something that both mods are trying to run at the same time and could cause us to crash. Could be something simple like one line of code that has already ran then another mod runs the same line and the client crashes.

If you look back to the first post of this thread andvik, you'll find that's exactly what we've already done.

Our modset has built been built up gradually over time through trial & error (thanks to Apollo's hard work), getting us to our current modset. The fact that we're still getting issues means that, no matter what we do (and no matter how stable a modset is/was), there will always be issues when using mods. It sucks, but that's the way it is (and nobody wants to go back to pure vanilla, with good reason). The goal, I suppose, is to get a modset that causes the least amount of issues (i.e. minor issues that we can put up with). We are very close to that goal, now it's just a matter of fine-tuning (scaling back, replacing a mod with a more stable alternative, etc).

You've all been asking for a new mission, so here one is.
It only took a day to make, so it's probably a bit rough around the edges, and after initial play testing will no doubt benefit from some tweaks.
See what you think.

The modset has been changed to include the new 3CB uniforms/helicopters - RH M4's, Massi's weapons and the optional folding map / stamina bar are off, trying to eliminate any conflicts with trixie weapons/asdg.
I doubt this will be stable tbh, but it might be fun for a while.

Bug and crash reports here as always please. :-)

Cheers Andvik, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I think in theory that the AAF can spawn with AA, so perhaps you've just got lucky so far. But I'll check and see what can be done to spice up the AA threats for v2.

Was your 'crash' an "ArmA has stopped responding" kind of crash?

Fire hurts me but not others for some reason ?

Noticed we weren't using the whitelist script ?

i.e. my old loadouts didn't work - ? Could we get that added ?

Noticed that I get a constant Wind direction marker in the top left screen ? (had this on the latest version of Takistan too)

Do we need some Map markers for the base ? I.e. Heli repair etc ?
