That is a great map, slow paced tension building patrols at start, heavy town fighting and then the mother of all ambushes on the way home.  Got rescued and then ambushed by rpg insurgents and never got back to base  great night of gaming.

+ 1 Really like the way the enemy seem to come down out of the hills.

And the Ambushes are great ! They actually work - ! We got our asses handed to us. Great Leadership from Delta and Hench. Thanks KevTT for getting me healed all night too !

I've fixed the Headless Client disconnect problem - was an error by me in it's mod launch line. That should improve server fps even more, although it ran at a fairly steady 40+ anyway.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, really nice to hear. I've got a few improvements to make in the next update:

- add a permanent large landmark feature near base LZ (was a wind turbine today)
- remove TNA logistical reinforcements (unless I can find a way to stop them parachuting in)
- swap the Ghosthawk for Blackhawk (from RHS US)
- see if we can increase the number of IED/VBIED/Suicide Bombers, as apparently there were none seen
- build in some function to allow peace negotiations to be conducted after a Blue on Green incident (player kills TNA, TNA hates 3CB for ever more)

Feedback for the Hearts & Minds Mission.

- Not sure if the IED and Suicide Bomber stuff works yet. Today  I played like 5-6 hours in total and I never encountered a IED, or a Suicid Bomber. As far as I know, this seems to apply to everyone right now.

My presence in the south and north was about 50-50. I think we could use some more enemies inside buildings and also more enemy vehicles. The only thing I did encounter so far was a single technical with a MG in the northern part of the map.

There is no war to end all wars.

Thanks MeFirst, Benzy.

IED's are on "medium" at the moment. We can increase the intensity if it's too low, but I didn't want to over-do it initially, as people have in the past complained about them. Probably less of an issue in an insurgency situation where you're expecting them?
I might update tomorrow with the setting on "high".

CQB elements can also be increased...I think. It's not entirely clear with the asymmetrical mode how to do it, but I can try something.

Vehicles - hmmm, ok. I'll look at options.

We found a guy with a suicide vest who was just standing around.... maybe that's intentional?

I've asked game admins NOT to use Zeus to spawn anything in for the first few days of a new mission being up. Sadly this isn't being respected.
This mission has been made to reflect us, as British Troops. There should not be any additional US vehicles present aside from those placed by default.

IED's are a bit of a mystery. There's no documentation from @Alive on them aside from the fact that either explosives experts or mine-detectors are required. The one you found that didn't explode when you ran near it...perhaps it was set to remote detonate, but you'd killed the trigger man? Not all will be pressure sensitive.

Suicide bombers definitely exist. Experienced one myself and was almost killed by him. The next update for today increases the likelyhood of all types of IED.

TNA are not permitted to patrol above the 50th parallel. They are too few in number.

If you clear an area, the Taliban will attempt to move back in. They do not just respawn there. You need to mount regular patrols through friendly villages to keep the civ's hostile to Taliban, and to remove any recruitment centres that are set-up.

From what I saw yesterday, NATO tactics are perhaps wrong. Everyone jumped in a chopper and inserted in the north straight away. You didn't patrol with or support the TNA in any way. The south was neglected. The centre was neglected. This allowed the insurgency to spread beyond control.

Regarding friendly fire on TNA: if they shoot at you DO NOT shoot back. This does not improve the situation. They will only be firing at one person most likely. They do not fire at any Blufor just because of one team-killer. That person should withdraw. In theory, as soon as a player becomes a "team killer", he is now detained and sent to the detention centre for a cool-off. There his team killer status is reset back to friendly.

Apollo was this all done by you? It's sounds like pure genius!
Most of the really clever AI stuff is handled by @alive. You have to experiment a lot to get the system to work as you want it, especially with the asymmetrical warfare as it's quite new, so it's more hard work rather than genius. :-)
