Just left the server and not very happy. Why?

Because we did not even had a completly full section and 4 whiskey pilots on the server. I was previously whiskey, but I dont saw a point in having like 40% of the server being pilots and without even having a FAC. So I switched to FAC and the first thing I get is people talking s**t and asking me why they should be on 40. Two whiskey pilots ask for a Apache and it gets denied. 5 Minutes later two other whiskey pilots fly away in a apache. In the meanwhile 3 infantry players sit in base and wait for transport, while nobody is answering on 40.

Nope.

Sounds like Zeus permissions may need to be restricted further. As previously mentioned by Apollo, no one should be spawning anything in during the first few days of a new mission so that its performance can be monitored.

It is another issue where I think beside the situation with BPT, we need not only more active moderation but also a change of mind. As said in other threads, it is always easy to point the finger at pubbers, but in the end we are the ones tho are responsible for creating a good and fun atmosphere on the server. A good way to do is to basically "lead by example" which in this case would mean that especially 3CB Members try to fill in sections first, take important roles like section lead, troop command, FAC and also show that when there are only about 14 people on the server, it is maybe not a bad idea when not 4 of those guys are pilots.

Alright here is my solution to this: If this is a mostly infantry based Mission, remove Whiskey Slots, aswell as all the Helicopters it seems like the only solution to the current issue of everyone wanting to be Whiskey. If you want to be transported around or get resupply's or even build a FOB with Alive, use the Zulu Slots for that. 

This is the easiest restriction to make everyone stay boots on the ground.

That's rather burning down the house to get rid of the termites is it not?
Well I rather burn down houses then listening to all this bitching and moaning, and bitching and moaning and bitching and moaning. :D Haha. And houses can be rebuild so who cares! :D

Interesting points on Air Assets - perhaps we can continue that if needed in the mission thread, and keep this one for the arsenal white-list. ta muchly  :-)

Moved the posts to the public server feedback thread.

I think removing the air assets would make the mission more interesting. It'd also immediately solve the problem of "skipping the south" that we currently have with people not understanding how the asymmetric system works.

I could be wrong but I'm sure its possible to lock out slots until a minimum player-count is reached? One whiskey opened up by default, unlock the rest once 2, 3 Sections are filled? Removing them altogether is a terrible idea, the bitching will continue it will just change to "The server has been up for 24 hours we are securing the north an its a half hour drive to the AO... fun times"
